Academics Zone ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to complying with U.S. Copyright Law and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). This policy outlines the procedures for reporting copyright infringement and how we respond to such reports.
Important Notice
This policy applies to copyright infringement claims related to content hosted on or transmitted through our School Management System. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please follow the procedures outlined below.
False Claims Warning: Making false claims of copyright infringement may result in legal consequences, including liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent and believe that content on our platform infringes your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:
Required Information for DMCA Takedown Notice:

A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.

Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address.

A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Our Response to DMCA Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 48 hours
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Notify the user who posted the material of the takedown
- Provide the user with a copy of the DMCA notice
- Inform the user of their right to submit a counter-notification
Timeline for Action:
- Within 24-48 hours: Acknowledge receipt of valid notice
- Within 1-3 business days: Remove or disable access to content
- Within 10-14 business days: Notify user and provide counter-notice option
Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification pursuant to DMCA Section 512(g).
Required Information for Counter-Notice:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction in federal court
Important: If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. The content may be restored in 10-14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with DMCA requirements, we maintain a policy for terminating repeat infringers. Users who receive multiple valid DMCA notices may have their accounts terminated.
Our Three-Strike Policy:
- First Strike: Warning and content removal
- Second Strike: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
- Third Strike: Permanent account termination
We maintain records of all DMCA notices and counter-notices for compliance purposes.
International Copyright Considerations
While DMCA is U.S. legislation, we respect international copyright laws and respond to infringement claims from copyright owners worldwide.
